Originally from Connecticut, I first visited Italy as a study abroad student in 2002, and that experience sparked a lasting love of travel and Italian culture. After graduating with degrees in Elementary and Special Education, I returned to Rome in 2005 and spent the next couple of years teaching at an international school, before continuing my work in education across Europe and Asia. Having purchased a home in Amelia in 2007, I found myself drawn back to Italy year after year—while also enjoying the many incredible travel experiences I was fortunate to have around the world during that time. In 2018, I was lucky enough to return to Italy full time once again. I couldn’t be happier to have joined the Scenarious team in the town I so lovingly call home, enjoying countryside living in such a scenic setting.

Valeria
What I love most about designing tailor-made trips is revealing Italy’s hidden gems — those authentic places that capture its true spirit. While iconic destinations like Florence and Venice are special, I’m drawn to quieter corners, like the alpine villages of Trentino-Alto Adige, the serene shores of Lake Garda, and Trieste, where I lived for two years. I find that these places offer a special connection to Italy’s soul. With my background in film and theatre, I try to bring a creative eye for beauty and storytelling to every journey.
